Interiors

Airtex Interiors.

I just re-did the interior on my Tiger using bulk materials from Airtex. Their service was super and the products are quality stuff. Call them and buy a sample board of what they offer.

I used their wool headliner material, in grey. Underneath the wool was "batting" material (quilting filler) for texture (Jim Sleigh's idea) that we got from a local sewing supply store. For soundproofing I used ducting insulation from Home Depot and for thermal insulation I used adhesive-backed foam used on Mooneys. (BTW, the ducting insulation is the same stuff you can get for the Mooneys; if you buy it from HD it's $14.95, from Mooney or an aviation supplier it's $54.95)

Airtex offers a supply of differnt types of FAA-approved cloth, vinyl, and leather materials to design and build your own interiors, or you can buy complete interior kits.
